There is nothing more relaxing than a quiet evening on the lake with a bottle of wine and a beautiful sunset.
Perfect sunsets are the norm up in Lick Creek during the spring and tonight was no exception.
This was our first time watching the fireworks from the lake (part of the annual Mark Twain Lake Rodeo). It was a beautiful evening with at least a hundred boats waiting for the event to begin. We anticipated issues with that many boats trying to get off of the lake at the same time, but there were no issues at all.
Our favorite time to cruise the lake is at sunset. Like all of the Missouri lakes, the sunsets at Mark Twain Lake are absolutely stunning. No matter how many times we see the sunsets, I am compelled to take pictures to capture that moment since no two sunsets are ever the same.
