July Sunsets

Almost every evening in July provides stunning sunsets on the lake.

Great turnout for an outstanding fireworks display at Cannon Dam this year.

Went for a boat ride during the week when the lake is quiet and found many sailboats out enjoying the day.

Early (and often) spring rains make for a muddy Mark Twain Lake due to the water runoff. The water typically settles by the end of June.

While we wait for summer, we spend time on the lake eagle watching. The most active area we found this year is a cove near Spalding Beach.

Winter is a great time to explore the wildlife around the Mark Twain Lake area.
